Life in the Lost Lane A collective of English Gentlemen |
As you may know, the much vouched for warm-up that my two mates lay on has been cancelled due to legal issues and until a new venue is found (preferably one with an entertainment licence this time). "Truckers Cafe will return," the organisers were confident this morning. "We've confirmed that the line up we promised are still eager to play and they'll support us once this current set-back is resolved" one member of the organising team told reporters late last night. The arrest of bar manager and host of the event, who cannot be named for legal reasons came as a shock to all yesterday. The news has rocked the somewhat underground breakbeat scene and people are all wishing the event team the best of luck in their new challenge - that of finding a new and suitably swanky venue. Movers and shakers in the know felt the loss of Camden's 'dirtiest and greasiest breaks night of the month' was a tragic loss. However, in a heroic-battle-of-Britain style many are speculating that the promising night showcasing new talent and welcoming top-class established acts would return soon. One pundit even said; "You can't keep a good team down and Fractured Ankle [events organisers and DJ duo] most certainly are a good team." Organisers and associated DJ's were not connected to the arrest which only affects the landlord of an unnamed bar in the Camden area. In other news: Breaks carries on. So if you're flush with cash, and energy on Saturday then the following promotional material may be of interest to you. posted by E! @ 4:20 PM
